Winter Season Hotel Manager required for Lapland season in Finland. Flying out in October to work the full season till the end of March 2025. This amazing opportunity offers the lifetime experience to see the Northern Lights and experience the remote living in a winter wonderland. You will manage all the staff, across the resort with a main hotel and additional accommodation and their main restaurant.

You will be a hands-on and very visible manager, leading your team to deliver the highest possible level of guest satisfaction. The Hotel Manager will take ownership of the daily running of the hotel accommodation and daily operations, always making sure the guests receive the best possible service, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and standards in all areas.

You will assist with the recruitment, training and ongoing coaching of all the staff, ensuring excellence at every opportunity. Naturally you will respond to guest feedback on the day, and approach any feedback with professionalism, calmness and courtesy.

You will have:

  • Experience as a Hotel Manager or Deputy General Manager in a hotel setting.
  • Strong background in daily operations and staff management.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness with the ability to lead, coach, and develop front of house teams, including housekeeping and F&B team.
  • Experience in food & beverage operations, kitchens and rooms division.
  • Capable of liaising effectively with management.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet all guests, ensuring efficient and excellent reception, allocation and hosting for all.
  • Ensure turnaround of Housekeeping is on point every day for guests and support the Housekeeping Supervisor with challenges and deadlines.
  • Solve customer queries, requirements and any complaints.
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring adherence to company standards and policies.
    Team Leadership: Lead and develop F&B, Housekeeping and Reception teams through shopfloor management and demonstration, including their onboarding and training.
    Guest Experience: Maintain the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction.
    Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and other legal requirements.
  • You will assist with the recruitment, training and ongoing coaching of all the staff, ensuring excellence at every opportunity.

    Stock control management and supplier relationship management
  • Control revenue costs and budget for stock and staffing.

The details

Our client is a leading Lapland holiday experience venue, they provide clients with a range of thrilling activities and quality accommodation, all set deep within the Arctic Circle. Winter activities range from snowmobiling, husky sledding and Northern Lights, safaris, as well as memorable family meetings with Santa Claus in his homeland.

Whilst it is a stunning and once in a lifetime experience, it is remote, extremely cold and is a contract from October to March and will require you to work Christmas and New Year.

This is an English speaking resort offering UK departures.
