Our client is an established accountancy practice with offices based in the East Midlands area. They offer a great working environment/flexi hours/WFH and Study support for ACA/ACCA and AAT.

They are seeking a part qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with well-rounded experience who is looking to further develop their skills and career in a growing office.The focus of this role is on the delivery of audit, financial reporting and related services to their expanding medium/large corporate business client base.The role also includes exposure to all aspects of general practice, ranging from personal and corporate tax, management reporting and other services.In addition, working as part of a team you will be responsible for leading small audits from the planning stage right through to the completion.You will also be involved in supervising junior members of staff within the audit team.Key responsibilities• Assisting the audit partner in the planning phase• Working within the audit team in the execution phase of statutory audits• Responsible for the completion of the file up to manager or director review, including supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff• Dealing directly with clients to resolve technical and challenging issues, including agreement of audit adjustments• Preparing client statutory accounts under FRS102, including UK and international group consolidations• Completing draft corporate tax computations for review by tax manager• Attending client finalisation meetings with the audit partner• Assisting the audit partners in carrying out ad hoc assignments including due diligence, internal audit, share valuations and systems reviewsWho we're looking forThey are looking for a professional, part qualified accountant with excellent numerical / literacy skills and a flexible approach. In addition, you will:• Possess proven double entry bookkeeping skills• Have basic tax knowledge - how to do corporation tax computations, PAYE, VAT• Possess good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments in auditing accounting standards• Have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written with the ability to deal with a variety of people in different environments• Have good organisational skills with the ability to deal with a variety of tasks at the same time / manage a varied workload• Be client focused and commercially aware with the ability to deliver to deadlines
