Job Requirements
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Manage own portfolio of clients, building strong rapport and dealing with year-end queries effectively
  • Lead onsite audit teams to ensure budgets, deadlines and expectations are met
  • Act as a trusted advisor to owner-managed businesses on a range of accounts and business issues
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of corporate tax computations and returns
  • Work alongside Managers and Partners, reporting directly to them
  • Supervise junior staff by reviewing work and offering mentorship
  • Converse clearly and effectively using software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Manage own workload, regularly updating Managers with work progress
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm by undertaking ad hoc duties where required

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments within practice environment
  • Strong experience managing a diverse client portfolio
  • Good knowledge of audit software including Xero, SAGE 50, SAGE Business Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Iris suite is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team and progress within the firm
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
