Senior Digital Accountant | £32,000 - £35,000 | Nottingham (Hybrid) | Modern Practice!

Join a forward-thinking accountancy practice that's doing things differently…

Tired of the traditional, rigid structure of accountancy firms? Want to work in a modern, tech-driven practice where you can have a real impact on growing businesses? This firm is re-imagining what an accountancy practice can be-helping scaling businesses with outsourced finance functions, automation, and advisory services-and they want you to be part of it.

As a Senior Digital Accountant, you won't just be churning out year-end accounts. You'll work closely with business owners, leveraging digital tools like Xero and Dext to improve financial processes and provide insightful advice that genuinely helps companies grow. You'll also get the chance to shape how things are done-this is not a place where you'll be buried under layers of management with no say in how things operate.

What You'll Be Doing…

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, delivering bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory accounts
  • Leveraging automation tools to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
  • Providing cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and business advisory
  • Working closely with clients, becoming their go-to finance expert, rather than just a name on an email
  • Helping to build out internal processes as the firm scales, ensuring efficiency and future-proofing
  • Staying ahead of the game with the latest fintech trends and cloud accounting innovations
  • Projects - The directors here are super keen to get you involved in the various different projects that come up - this is your opportunity to really upskill yourself and learn from some great leaders!

Who We're Looking For:

  • 4-5 years' experience in accountancy practice
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA (study support available)
  • Strong experience with Xero (bonus points for knowledge of Dext, Telleroo, or other finance apps)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environment-this isn't a corporate machine!
  • Excellent communicator-you'll be working directly with business owners, so people skills are key.
  • Passionate about technology and automation in finance
  • Someone who likes to solve problems rather than just follow a process

What's in It for You?

  • Salary of £32,000 - £35,000 (based on experience)
  • Private medical insurance
  • 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Hybrid working - expect to be in the office around 3 days a week, but there's flexibility
  • The chance to shape how things are done - your ideas won't be ignored
  • A friendly, supportive team that values work-life balance and invests in your development

Why This Practice?

This isn't your standard accountancy firm. It's tech-driven, client-focused, and growing fast-but doing it the right way, by building an environment where the team enjoys what they do. The firm works with interesting businesses, embraces new ideas, and offers a genuine career path for people who want to grow with them.
