- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
- Manage cash flow and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Review tax compliance and collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, assisting them with financial matters as required.
- Develop and implement efficient financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent (or qualified by experience).
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
