A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast-growing and innovative business based in Nottingham. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to take on a dynamic and strategic position within a forward-thinking organisation.  With ambitious growth plans over the next 3 - 5 years, this role requires someone who has equal ambition and drive to match.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • A relevant qualification (ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong finance experience within the manufacturing or FMCG sectors
  • A deep understanding of end-to-end production processes and P&L exposure
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a forward-thinking approach
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Managing financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Driving awareness and accountability for all operational costs, distribution, and cost of sales
  • Providing meaningful P&L reports on operational performance (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Recommending improvements to revenue, costs, and margins to influence key business decisions
  • Leading financial reporting, including system development, tool implementation, and process optimisation
  • Overseeing budget control, cash flow management, and VAT returns
  • Managing accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting ad hoc finance duties, including credit control

Salary & Working Hours

  • £55,000 to £60,000 per annum
