Part-time Financial Controller - Nottingham City Centre (Hybrid) - £55,000 - £85,000 FTE DOE

Join an established and innovative SME business as their new part-time Financial Controller to support and enhance the finance function. This hands-on role, requiring 25-30 hours per week, involves financial reporting, control, and partnering with senior leadership to support strategic commercial decisions. Based in a modern office near Nottingham Train Station, this hybrid role offers the flexibility of two office days per week, with adaptable hours to suit your schedule.

About the Role:

This Financial Controller role is crucial for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and compliance. You will manage a small finance team and take ownership of the business’s budget, forecasts, monthly management accounts, and internal financial controls. Working closely with senior leaders, your contribution will be essential in maintaining a strong and efficient finance function that supports the business’s growth trajectory including the structure and growth of the finance team. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Cash flow forecasting.
  • Budget preparation and management.
  • Financial analysis and reporting.
  • Monthly management accounts.
  • Team leadership and development.
About You:

We are seeking a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) who values work-life balance and wants a part-time, hands-on role. You should have a solid background in preparing and analysing financial statements, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting, alongside experience in people management. Strong business partnering skills and a drive to improve processes and compliance are essential.

Experience required:

  • Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
