SF Recruitment is pleased to be working in partnership with a local Nottinghamshire business who are looking to recruit a Group Statutory Reporting and Audit Manager to join the company on a 6 month FTC. About the role: The Group Reporting and Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of statutory financial reports for the group alongside conducting the internal audit. Main duties and responsibilities include: - Prepare and submit timely and accurate statutory financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries. - Ensure adherence to local and group accounting standards and regulatory requirements. - Liaise with external auditors for annual audits, including preparation of a timetable for the delivery of the process. - Develop and maintain financial reporting policies and procedures. - Ensure all corporate tax returns are delivered on time. - Manage group tax position and advise on complex tax matters including local and international tax position. - Production of RDEC returns. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards. - Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, and assess their impact on the group's financial reporting. - Implement necessary changes in reporting processes to comply with new standards and regulation. - Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors. - Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and available in a timely manner. - Address audit queries and ensure timely resolution of any audit issues. About you: The successful candidate will have experience will have a strong background in finance, internal audit, and treasury management, coupled with excellent leadership and analytical skills. Other skills and experience required - Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA or similar) with at least 4 years post qualification experience. - Experience of FRS 102 statutory accounts preparation, financial controls and the audit process. - Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance. - Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in financial reporting and advanced MS Excel skills.
