I am delighted to present a unique opportunity to partner with a TECH/SOFTWARE business in NOTTINGHAM (but work FULLY REMOTELY) as an Interim WORKDAY Project Accountant/Analyst.

This post acquisition integration role will focus on finance, but from a WORKDAY perspective. You will configure, build and test. Act as subject matter expert on all WORKDAY activities and make the appropriate recommendations for approval and implementation. The Ideal profile would be an accountant who has become a WORKDAY specialist.

This role can be based FULLY REMOTELY (so anywhere in the UK) and will pay £400-£500 per day on either a LIMITED or UMBRELLA basis. There will be some flexibility for the right candidate. Start ASAP.

This position involves hands-on technical support, ensuring the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of the WORKDAY Finance system, and working closely with various internal stakeholders, including Finance and HR teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Subject Matter Expert (SME): You will apply functional expertise to analyse Workday releases, determining their impact on current and future functionality.
  2. Configuration & Testing: Responsible for configuring, testing, and maintaining business processes, security policies, and ensuring the system's smooth operation.
  3. Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Finance, external consultants, and other teams for project planning and migrations.
  4. Support & Troubleshooting: Respond to HR system inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems when needed.
  5. Data Quality Management: Conduct data and security audits, ensuring compliance with standards.
  6. Training & Documentation: Support the development of training materials and deliver training to HR teams globally.
  7. Global Support: Provide global operational support and keep up with product updates, staying informed on enhancements delivered bi-annually.
Essential Skills:
  • Workday Experience: Previous work with the Finance module is crucial, along with hands-on configuration and operational processes.
  • Customisation & Reporting: Experience building custom reports and calculated fields in WORKDAY.
  • Security & Data Management: Strong understanding of the WORKDAY Security Model and maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong skills in communicating complex information and solving problems independently.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in supporting or deploying HR systems, specifically Workday's Finance module.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining Workday processes, notifications, security, and routing rules.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information and providing global support.
