An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Management Accountant to join an industry leading, well-established manufacturing company who work highly recognisable, international brands. This is a newly created role due to growth, reporting directly to into the Finance Director. You will have the opportunity to make a difference through your involvement in analysis, reporting and process improvement.

You will be a key member of the Finance team, working in conjunction with the core day-to-day finance tasks including preparing accurate financial reports, conducting variance analysis, managing stock control, and overseeing credit control.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • You will prepare and present monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets
  • You will be involved with the control stock processes, including inventory valuation, WIP calculations for projects and reconciliations
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate recording of stock movements
  • You will provide comprehensive variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against projections and forecasts. Identify significant variances, analyse their causes, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management
  • You will monitor and review accounts receivable
  • Implement credit control policies to minimise bad debts and improve cash flow
  • You will prepare and deliver financial reports and presentations to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making

Requirements:

  • A proven background in management accounting, including expertise in variance analysis, stock control, and credit control, ideally within a Manufacturing or Project based environment
  • Experience with SAP B1 would be advantageous and advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis
  • Ideally be a part qualified / qualified / qualified by experience accountant who. You will have strong attention to detail, able to provide process improvement insights and ability to collaborate across departments
