Management Accountant | £45,000 - £50,000 | Nottingham | Growing, International Business

Are you looking for a step up into a number two role, working closely with a Finance Controller in a fast-growing business? Do you thrive in a hands-on, dynamic environment, where you can take ownership of the day-to-day running of a finance function while also supporting strategic projects? This rapidly expanding, international business is searching for a Management Accountant to join their finance team in Nottingham. With recent acquisitions, and more exciting projects and growth plans in the pipeline, this is an exciting time to join a company where you can make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing:

As Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations while working closely with senior stakeholders. You will take on a mix of core financial responsibilities and business improvement projects, offering a well-rounded, varied role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Overseeing transactional finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
  • Acting as the key finance contact for payroll, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Supporting intercompany reconciliations and assisting with multi-entity reporting requirements.
  • Contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and finance transformation projects.
  • Providing insight and analysis to support senior leadership in decision-making.
  • Assisting with compliance, audit preparation, and financial governance initiatives.
  • Involvement in ad hoc project work such as finance system upgrades and data migration projects

What We're Looking For…

We are seeking a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and transactional finance processes.
  • A self-motivated and highly organised approach, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential.

Package:

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Annual bonus based on company performance.
