Cherry are working with a business based in the West Bridgford area of Nottingham that are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.

Based just 15 minutes out Nottingham City our client are looking to pay between 32,000 - 36,000 with the opportunity to work 2 days from home.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified and will have previous experience of dealing with both year end and month end process's.

What will the role involve?
  • Management Accounts Preparation:
    Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the business, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial information.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Support in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, assisting in the analysis of variances and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting:
    Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
  • Variance Analysis:
    Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain differences between budgeted and actual figures, helping management to understand key drivers and make informed decisions.
  • Account Reconciliations:
    Perform reconciliations of key accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Support:
    Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to other departments as required.

What does the ideal candidate look like?
  • Part qualified / newly qualified
  • A strong understanding of management accounts with knowledge of financial accounts too
  • Strong computer skills - knowledge of excel is essential
  • Ambitious and willing to learn
