Finance Manager | £60,000 + 10% Bonus + Car Allowance | Nottingham | Manufacturing | Onsite

Are you a proactive and commercially astute finance leader looking for a role that gives you real influence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you want to own financial strategy, drive operational efficiencies, and work directly with senior stakeholders to shape business performance? If so, this Finance Manager role in Nottingham could be the perfect next step for you.

This is a high-impact role, where you'll be at the heart of commercial decision-making, ensuring financial compliance, driving cost control, and leading financial planning. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll be the on-site financial lead, working closely with senior Operations and Commercial leaders to drive strategic initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Financial Leadership - taking ownership of management and statutory reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strategic Business Partnering - working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to support profitability, cost-saving initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Compliance & Controls - acting as the Compliance Officer, ensuring VAT, tax, and reporting adhere to UK laws and internal controls.
  • Cost & Operational Finance - leading variance analysis, standard costing, and capex processes, ensuring financial data supports business decision-making.
  • Audit & Governance - managing external audits, preparing statutory accounts, and ensuring financial integrity across all reporting.
  • Process Improvement & Change Management - driving efficiencies, streamlining reporting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

What we're looking for…

  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - no part-qualified candidates can be considered.
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred, if not you must have a strong and proven understanding of cost control, operations, and financial efficiencies.
  • Commercial mind-set & leadership skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and support senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with non-finance teams.
