Job Purpose

  • Prepare accounts for a significant client portfolio of micro, small and medium sized companies.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns.
  • Liaise directly with clients, proactively handing queries and building trusted relationships.
  • Support senior team members with complex accounting issues.
  • Monitor commercial aspects of your portfolio, reporting directly to Partners.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence and set an example to junior staff as a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified or soon to be qualified with previous UK practice experience.
  • Qualified by impressive UK practice experience would also be considered.
  • Adept a preparing accounts for small to medium sized entities.
  • Experience preparing corporation tax returns.
  • Audit exposure and training can be provided if desired, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, cloud software, and CCH.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to oversee workflow.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
  • Confidently mentor junior team members, in a positive and constructive manner
