Streamline Search are working with a modern, family run practice based in Nottingham seeking to employ a Trainee/Junior Accountant.
The right candidate will be welcomed into an environment where their experienced team are ready to impart their wealth of knowledge on the right candidate. In this role you will gain exposure to all areas of accounting and have the ability to choose a specialisation.
Trainee/Junior Accountant Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee/Junior Accountant, you will receive broad accountancy exposure in a supportive and friendly working environment, where you can get involved in all aspects of bookkeeping, VAT, statutory accounts, payroll, and tax returns.
- General bookkeeping duties for clients.
- Accounts preparation.
- Preparing client financial statements.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Assisting with payroll.
- Ad hoc self-assessment tax returns.

Trainee/Junior Accountant Position Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Studying towards or a willingness to pursue professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or ACA.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
