Hays Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing organisation based in Nottingham City Centre who are looking to add capacity to their finance team.The role is 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times and offers a salary of £27,000 with additional study support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and implement budgets within the accounting system.
  • Prepare accounting packs for submission to auditors.
  • Handle utility recharging tasks.
  • Post daily cash entries and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Manage transfers across various banks.
  • Process ad-hoc charges and invoices.
  • Oversee payment runs, both manual and automated.
  • Generate credit transfers and perform supplier reconciliations, including issuing final reminders.
  • Perform other ad-hoc accounting duties as required.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Confident, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and numeracy.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated, mature, and able to take initiative.
  • A collaborative team player with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capable of performing under pressure and delivering tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word.
  • Background in accounting with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Awareness of general accounting procedures, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
