We are seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to work in our busy finance department based in Nottingham.

The Congregational Federation is an Association of Independent local churches whose mission is to equip, enable, engage and empower the churches in their mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. It came into being in 1972 following the apportionment of the assets of the former Congregational Union in England and Wales. The object of the Federation is the advancement of the Christian faith.

The Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in undertaking a variety of finance functions and tasks across The Congregational Federation, Congregational Federation Ltd and associated organisations whilst working within a small finance team.

Your activities will include: Accounts to Trial Balance, credit control, assistance with and preparation of annual statutory accounts, deputising for the Financial Controller in their absence, being an authorised bank signatory and attendance at various meetings as required in supporting the Financial Controller.
