RT - Field Service Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Door-to-Door & Van
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
The client is seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience in installing and maintaining door access systems, alarms, automated gates, and CCTV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and the technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, and repair security equipment effectively.
Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel, but all candidates will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and configure door access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and intercoms.
- Install and program alarm systems, including sensors, control panels, and communication devices.
- Install and integrate automated gate systems, including motors, control mechanisms, and safety features.
- Conduct site surveys to assess electrical requirements and determine optimal equipment placement.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with security systems, including wiring, power supply, and communication protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability.
- Provide training and technical support to clients on system usage and operation.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of installations and service calls.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations on job sites.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in installing and configuring door access control systems, alarms, and automated gates.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage systems.
- Hold relevant qualifications within the electrical field.
- Knowledge of codes and regulations governing security system installations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
