The role

As an experienced Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and driving continuous improvement to support the future and growth of the business. Youll work closely with engineering, production teams, customers, and suppliers to address quality-related issues, including:

  • Reviewing in-house and supplier quality procedures
  • Conducting and supporting quality investigations
  • Compiling and reviewing Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs)
  • Inspecting in-house and third-party supplied products
  • Compiling and maintaining formal lifetime quality records for customer approval
  • Resolving customer concerns using root cause analysis tools like 8D
  • Managing non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Developing and improving production standards, testing protocols, and compliance measures
  • Testing sinks and taps to ensure compliance with required standards
  • Arranging third-party inspections as required by MQPs
  • Supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction projects

What were looking for:

  • A deep knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 & auditing
  • Professional CQE or CQA certification
  • Ideally from an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with British Standards and experience in a QA/QC environment
  • The ability to write and present reports to stakeholders
  • Exceptional methodical and organisation skills
  • A full UK driving license
