Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions and driving the success of engineering projects. This will include:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their technical growth and ensuring project excellence.
  • Project Oversight: Take ownership of the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial client engagement through to design, execution, and delivery.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients, including presenting advanced mechatronic designs using Solidworks and AutoCAD, and justifying design decisions with clear, data-driven presentations and reports.
  • Design Excellence: Lead the creation of robust designs that meet project specifications, budgets, and schedules. Develop throughput and cycle time calculations, specifying equipment to meet complex project requirements.
  • Process Optimisation: Analyse client operational processes and develop advanced material flow diagrams to enhance efficiency, advising on logistics and supply chain improvements where applicable.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Sales, and Project teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
  • Advanced Simulations: Lead the development and execution of simulations to test and model scenarios, drawing upon these insights to craft comprehensive proposals and solutions.
  • Strategic Contributions: Actively contribute to improving internal efficiencies and processes, and support commercial efforts by developing pricing strategies and project cost evaluations.
What You Bring to the Team
  • A degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A strong academic background, with a focus on analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to articulate complex engineering solutions effectively.
  • Expertise in Solidworks and AutoCAD, with a track record of delivering successful mechatronic designs.
  • A proactive approach to communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, with a deep understanding of automation, special-purpose machinery, or materials handling equipment.
  • A history of driving cross-departmental collaboration to achieve engineering excellence.
