Are you a dynamic leader with a strong background in HGV, logistics, transport, or the truck industry? SF Recruitment is partnering with a leading Nottingham-based business to recruit an experienced Depot Manager to take charge of their overall operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive growth, lead a talented team, and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

As the Depot Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the depot's full operations, including used vehicle sales, HGV workshops, and site maintenance.
  • Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Nottingham depot.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety across the site.
  • Lead a talented team, coaching and developing them to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimise operations and maximise profitability.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, building the depot's reputation for exceptional service and vehicle sales.
  • Manage budgetary targets, operational efficiency, and growth strategies.
  • Identify and execute strategies for end-of-life vehicle defleeting and resale.
  • Report to senior stakeholders on performance metrics and improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing depot operations, including health and safety responsibilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a history of delivering financial targets.
  • Extensive knowledge of the HGV or transport sector.
  • Outstanding leadership and team development skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and decision-making capabilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Transport Management CPC qualification (or willingness to achieve this).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or HGV sector.
