Specializing in cavity wall and loft insulation, we are committed to improving energy efficiency for residential and commercial properties, helping to reduce carbon footprints and lower energy costs.

As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and driven Regional Operations Manager to build and lead a cavity wall and loft installation teams on behalf of Octopus energy, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team development.

Role Summary

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, strategic development, and performance of installation teams within the region. This role will focus on scaling operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering team growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy efficiency or construction, with a proven track record of managing multiple teams and driving operational success in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Leadership & Management

    • Oversee daily operations of cavity wall and loft installation projects across the region.
    • Ensure all installations are carried out efficiently, safely, and to high standards of quality.
    • Implement processes to optimize productivity, reduce downtime, and meet project deadlines.
    • Monitor KPIs (e.g., installation rates, customer satisfaction, cost control) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  2. Team Building & Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and develop installation teams, ensuring skills development and career progression.
    • Foster a positive, safety-first culture among teams, with clear communication, accountability, and support.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide mentorship to direct reports.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all job sites.
  3. Project & Resource Management

    • Plan and allocate resources (materials, labor, equipment) to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
    • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
    • Manage relationships with subcontractors and third-party partners where necessary.
  4. Customer Experience & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure a customer-first approach in all interactions, driving excellent service delivery.
    • Resolve any customer issues or complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes.
    • Monitor and maintain installation quality, conducting site visits and quality control audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  5. Financial & Budget Management

    • Manage regional budgets and control operating costs, optimizing expenditure while maintaining quality.
    • Report on regional financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
    • Assist in setting and achieving sales targets related to insulation installations.
  6. Strategic Growth & Development

    • Play a key role in expanding the market presence within the region by identifying growth opportunities.
    • Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to provide input on regional strategy, market trends, and opportunities for innovation.
