Position: Facilities Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a proactive Facilities Maintenance Assistant to ensure the smooth running of our facilities through maintenance, compliance checks, and site upkeep.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Replacing light tubes, emergency batteries, locks, and door furniture.

  • Conducting fire door inspections and weekly fire alarm tests.

  • Performing minor repairs (paving, building, plumbing, painting, etc.).

  • Site housekeeping, stock management, and material handling.

  • Managing subcontractors and compliance records.

  • Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).

  • Winter maintenance (gritting/snow clearance).

  • Assisting with site evacuations and general facility upkeep.



Requirements:

Essential:

  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent.

  • Maintenance experience (hospital setting preferred).

  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of engineering practices.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.

Desirable:

  • Engineering qualifications.

  • Local resident.

  • Recent experience in a similar role.
