Barker Ross are recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for a permanent role for one of our distribution clients based in Worksop.

This is an exceptional opportuity for the right professional HGV drivers.

HIAB licence/ ALLMI (CSCS) desirable but NOT essential as for the right candidates, internal training will be provided.

As a Class 1 or 2 Driver you will be delivering Durabase Matting to customer sites across France and Germany but to also install and recover the mats.

Skills

  1. Class 1 licence preferred. Class 2 minimum
  2. ALLMI (inc CSCS) Category C certificate up to 20tm using hook attachment (desirable, but we can train the right person)
  3. Driving on unpaved sites to minimise damage
  4. Using app based navigation for areas without postcodes (What3Words, Google maps)
  5. Can conduct asset care activities (greasing the crane, replacing bulbs, top up oil, etc.)

Knowledge

  1. H&S at work act
  2. Preventing accidents and incidents
  3. Creating a safe cordon and ensuring the safety of others
  4. How to avoid damage to company assets
  5. Knowledge of the trackway industry
  6. How to lay and recover panels
  7. Good knowledge of driving on roads in the UK and Europe
  8. Conduct asset care checks
  9. EU Tachograph law
  10. WTD regulations

Working pattern:

12- 15 hours a day

Tramping as a double crew for 6 weeks at a time in France / Germany, then back for UK work until the next EU assignment. You must be happy to work alongside a labourer/ trackway operative while working in Germany/ France (this may suit a couple/ friends)

30.00 allowance for for each night

Example 1 of OTE below;

As Class 2 driver who works in Germany/ France for 6 months of the year and the rest of the year in the UK, with expenses you will look to gross around 55,000 PA

Example 2 of OTE below;

As Class 1 driver who works in Germany/ France for 6 months of the year and the rest of the year in the UK, with expenses you will look to gross around 62,000 PA

Example 3 of OTE below;

As Class 1 driver who works in Germany/ France for 12 months of the year, with expenses you will look to gross around 79,000 PA
