TEMP AND PERM BENCH JOINER NEEDED IN LONG EATON!

The Role:
We are currently seeking an experiencedBench Joinerto join our skilled team. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects, crafting high-quality timber products using traditional joinery techniques as well as modern machinery. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and assembling custom pieces to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and wooden components to a high standard
  • Work with a variety of timbers and materials, including hardwoods, softwoods, and MDF
  • Operate woodworking machinery (saws, planers, thicknessers, etc.) safely and efficiently
  • Follow detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Carry out accurate cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing of wood products
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all work is completed within deadlines
  • Inspect work for accuracy and quality throughout production
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure client expectations are met

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern joinery techniques
  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical drawings
  • Experience operating a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing work of exceptional quality
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required
  • Relevant qualifications in carpentry/joinery are a plus, but not essential.
