About The Applications Engineer Role

You will be responsible for developing concepts within the applications team working closely with project managers to sell our automated machinery solutions. The company will consider a junior up to a senior engineer, with the annual salary depending on experience. 

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to create machine concepts addressing client manufacturing challenges through sketches, flow diagrams, and CAD models.
• Develop cost estimates for custom projects aligned with company profit goals and present them in bid reviews.
• Create preliminary tests or rigs showcasing proposed machine concepts.
• Conduct technical research on manufacturing processes, liaising with suppliers for key technologies.
• Craft Sales Proposals detailing technical and commercial aspects of our solutions.
• Support various sales activities as needed by the business.

A successful Applications Engineer will need:

• Mechanical Design Experience in a professional environment. 
• A degree/qualification in some form of engineering discipline.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships.
• Experience in machinery or an automation environment.
