Regional Sales Manager - Remote - Excellent package - Negotiable salary
A client of ours in the Suffolk area are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (37.5 hours) and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience. This is a fully remote role with travel required across the UK and Ireland, with occasional travel to the office based in Suffolk, the ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands/Nottingham area due to this being a central hub for expected travel.
The role is to support growth and to further capitalise on investment. You will be responsible for managing an existing network as well as identifying new opportunities. It is envisaged that this role will be 70% proactive business and 30% distribution support.
Reporting to the Sales Director, key duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage distribution channel aligned with company strategy
- Promote co-marketing, training, and customer visits
- Support distributors and purchasers to meet sales targets
- Highlight USPs and brand reputation
- Maintain pricing and margins per business plan
- Provide regular sales and marketing forecasts
- Coordinate with stakeholders to meet customer specifications and negotiate orders under senior management.
- Provide key information for Internal Sales and Project Management for order progress.
- Support post-order commercial issues for smooth sales and invoicing.
- Recruit, train, and manage new distributors.
- Report on sales activities and competitor updates to the Sales Director.
- Manage distributor agreements per company procedures.
- Prepare monthly reports on sales, market trends, and recommendations.
- Assist with the annual budget and business reviews with distributors.
- Represent the company at regional trade exhibitions.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Regional Sales Manager position:
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven experience within a technical sales manager role within the engineering, manufacturing and production industry is essential to be considered
- Experience working through a distributor sales network.
- Excellent communication skills
- A relatable degree would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong work ethic with willingness to travel
- Positive attitude
- Proficient within the Microsoft packages
