The Role

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Assistant to help provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in their early years. In this Temp to Perm role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and well-being of children aged 0-5, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and lessons that support children's development. • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. • Support children with additional needs, adapting resources and activities to ensure all children are included. • Assist in the daily care of children, including feeding, toileting, and helping with personal hygiene. ?• Help maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. • Encourage positive behaviour and help to manage children's behaviour in a supportive manner. • Work with the team to assess children’s progress and support their development through play and structured activities. • Supervise children during break times and other nursery activities.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a nursery or similar early years setting. • Qualifications: A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

Skills:

  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. ?
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting children’s growth. ?

Location

This role is based in Nottingham, NG2, within a well-established nursery that offers a supportive and caring environment. The nursery is easily accessible by public transport.
