Senior Cloud Architectrequired by my Global Client. As a Senior Cloud Architect, your responsibilities will include partnering with business-focused development teams and together the design of cloud solutions primarily within AWS. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable rapid adoption of new cloud services, drive transformation, and transform IT.
This role takes accountability for ensuring a high quality of delivery output into the R&D Cloud Operations business and provides support pre-sales technical activities and engagement with customers.
This role includes the responsibility for overseeing the Dev Ops engineers, junior cloud architects and the test automation engineers, acting as an interface and key delegation point internally and to the wider engineering practice.
- Creating, maintaining, and delivering robust Cloud Architecture and Solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Designing and implementing innovative cloud infrastructure solutions to align with organisational goals.
- Continuously improving the performance, stability, and responsiveness of the existing cloud infrastructure by incorporating the latest technologies and best practices.
- Driving best practices in cloud operations, ensuring compliance with the companycode of practice and standardised cloud protocols across competency centers.
- Developing secure services and ensuring adherence to security and vulnerability standards throughout operational functions.
- Overseeing the system architecture from project inception to delivery, including high- and low-level designs across applications, infrastructure, and networks.
- Supporting the technical roadmap by supervising architectural and engineering resources in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensuring the quality of solutions and architecture by conducting thorough reviews of automation scripts and tools to uphold DevOps best practices.
- Partnering with project and program managers to guide solution delivery, providing technical leadership and serving as the primary business interface to ensure the successful adoption of solutions.
- Experience & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud solutions, including design methods, architecture patterns, and security best practices, with certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Hands-on experience in creating and managing cloud infrastructures (e.g., Terraform), networks, and databases, alongside DevOps tools for CI/CD, automation, and configuration management.
- Proficiency in programming with at least one language such as Python, Bash, Go, Java, or PowerShell, and expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, relational, and NoSQL databases.
- A solid understanding of REST APIs, API security, OAuth, SSO, microservices, and micro front-end architecture, along with enterprise architecture deployment experience.
