Our client is seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales and Marketing Director to lead commercial growth and drive new sales opportunities across key market sectors. This is a pivotal role in an expanding business that operates in technical sales, particularly within battery energy storage, switchgear, or related industrial environments.

This position is ideal for a proactive, results-oriented commercial leader looking to make a significant impact and potentially progress into a Managing Director role in the future. Reporting directly to the board, the successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding the company’s market presence, shaping go-to-market strategies, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.
  • Review and establish market pricing to remain competitive and profitable.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, fully understanding their technical needs and commercial goals.
  • Lead and manage the inside sales team, overseeing the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and insights to support product development and strategic decision-making.
  • Consistently achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development within engineering, manufacturing, or electrical components sectors.
  • Solid understanding of digital/inbound marketing principles and how to apply them in a technical sales environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude or willingness to learn about standoff isolators, busbar systems, and related product applications.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Effective people leadership and team management experience.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (significant export business).
