Job Opportunity in the Steel Industry: Sales Estimator

Our client is a market leader in delivering high-quality steel fabrication solutions for industrial and commercial projects across the UK. With decades of expertise, their skilled team is known for tackling challenging and innovative projects across various sectors, including renewable energy, MOD, and nuclear industries.
Responsibilities and Duties- Conducting steel take-offs and measuring materials from engineering and architectural drawings/specifications.
- Developing cost estimates in alignment with company protocols.
- Preparing detailed quotations, pricing schedules, and tender presentations.
- Establishing budgets for Commercial, Procurement, and Project teams.
- Reviewing and advising on client contract documentation.
- Assisting in the preparation of handover documentation for project teams.
- Reporting directly to the Sales Director and liaising with staff and clients at all levels.
- Maintaining and enhancing estimating techniques and processes.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, construction methods, and engineering principles within the metalwork or structural steel industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with clients, engineers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs; specific training will be provided for bespoke software.
- Experience in renewable energy, MOD, or nuclear sectors is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £50,000, depending on experience and expertise.
