This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced First Aid Trainer and Health and Safety Advisor to join our clients Health and Safety team and work with them to deliver great customer service and ongoing support to our clients in a variety of sectors across the UK.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for educating others on essential first aid techniques and supporting clients with their health and safety requirements.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, ensuring participants are well-equipped with the necessary skills to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Develop and maintain training materials that are up-to-date with current first aid practices and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and assessment results.
Stay informed about advancements in first aid practices and incorporate new information into training sessions.
Support clients to ensure their procedures and working practices are safe and comply with legislation and guidance.
Undertake thorough health and safety management audits and site inspections and producing remedial action plans across a range of sectors.
Support in the development of local policies and procedures.
Support to carry out risk assessments and method statements.
Produce high quality reports regarding hazard identification, accident investigations and funding applications.
Skills and Experience:
- A valid first aid certification is essential; additional qualifications in teaching or education are advantageous.
- Proven experience as a First Aid Instructor or in a similar educational role is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple training sessions effectively.
- Around 2/3 years' experience in health and safety as a minimum.
- A minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate qualification must be held to be fully competent in the role.
- Proficient IT skills for creating presentations and managing training documentation.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
