Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a leading manufacturing company in the rail industry.Location: NottinghamSalary: 拢37,132Shift Pattern: Mornings & Afters

The Role:

As a CNC Machinist, you will ensure the precise machining of rail components.聽Responsibilities:

  • Operating manual and CNC milling machines
  • On-machine programming using Siemens controls
  • Following processes and procedures
  • Recording and logging jobs accurately
  • Conducting inventory checks in line with procedures
  • Training new operatives as required
  • Complying with safety regulations and company procedures
  • Reporting accidents and "near-miss" incidents
  • Maintaining clear communication with the next shift via logbooks and shift changeovers
  • Upholding quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promoting good housekeeping and maintaining a tidy work environment

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship-trained or time-served background
  • Previous experience in medium to heavy manufacturing
  • CNC milling and manual milling experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Awareness of safety legislation and quality procedures (ISO 9001)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
