Experienced, CNC Operator / Machinist

Location: Nottingham NG6 0BT

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, Bonus applicable after 1 months employment,

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00am 16:00pm and Friday 07:00am -14:30pm with an hour lunch break

About the Company:

They are leading distributor of door and window hardware to the UPVC and timber industry with operations in both the UK and Ireland.

As a growing business they are recruiting additional employees to fulfil roles throughout their production facility. As a growing business there is potential for career progression.

The CNC Operator / Machinist role:

The basic duties will be setting up and operating a CNC router, maintaining quality and safety standards. Maintaining equipment and supplies and keeping records.

Reporting directly to the CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring production and quality targets are met.

The ideal CNC Operator / Machinist must show previous performance and skills in the following areas.

  • A CNC machine operating background is essential, with a minimum 1-year experience required,
  • Must be trained in 3 & 5 Axis CNC operation,
  • Experience on an SCM router essential
  • Experience working on a Biesse would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of programming, Xilog also beneficial,
  • Ability to work at own initiative.
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Achievement of quality standards
  • Achievement of performance targets
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Experience in woodworking (advantageous not essential)
  • Excellent attitude and enthusiasm
