Your new roleHays Education are working with a secondary school based in North Nottinghamshire who are looking for a Site Manager to join their team. The position will be from Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, and is initially presented as a long-term temporary role with the potential to go permanent. The role will be to as soon as possible. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Facility Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring the school complies with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Security Management: Implementing and monitoring security measures to protect students, staff, and property, including managing access control systems and coordinating with security personnel.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaising with external contractors and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and improvements, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising and supporting the site maintenance team, providing training, and ensuring high performance standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience as a Site Manager is essential, ideally in a school
  • Possess an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Be reliable, resilient and hardworking
