Project Manager - Capital Programme Delivery

  • Job Type: Temporary (6 months with potential to extend)
  • Location: Nottingham
  • Day Rate: Negiotable 

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee capital programme delivery for a prominent housing association in Nottingham. This is a temporary position focused on managing damp and mould projects, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage individual capital projects, making informed decisions, assessing problems, and negotiating with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Support project teams in the coordination and input of all involved in the design and implementation of capital projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and develop consultation and publicity on capital projects, ensuring stakeholder involvement.
  • Attend council meetings, tenant forums, and community forums to represent the organisation.
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent, or Project Manager using standard forms of contract such as JCT, NEC.
  • Monitor and report on operational issues, identifying solutions and delivering remedial action to meet performance targets.
  • Ensure projects comply with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically with damp and mould projects within the housing sector.
  • Ability to administer construction contracts and manage complex capital and regeneration projects.
  • Strong understanding of sector legislation and standards (e.g., Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
  • Relevant building qualifications such as a degree or equivalent in engineering, construction/project management.
