Engineering Project Manager | Nottingham, NG7 | £43k - £48k/ £22.05 per hour to £24.61 per hourTemp 6-9 monthsCherry Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced and pragmatic Engineering Project Manager to join a well established team and take ownership of exciting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company at the forefront of industrial solutions, where your expertise in engineering, automation, or control panel build will make a real impact!!What you'll be doing:Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost controlCreating and maintaining project plans, financial forecasts, and risk logsCollaborating with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to drive project successHandling project variations, resource allocation, and reporting to senior managementEnsuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standardsWhat we're looking for:Proven experience in engineering project management, preferably in automation or control panel buildStrong financial acumen and commercial awarenessExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and certifications in Prince2, APM PMQ, or APM AgileWillingness to travel (approx. 15%) for client meetings, installations, and commissioningThe finer elements of the role include:Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with customer expectationsDevelop and maintain project plans, forecasts, and actual cost trackingIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining a risk management logManage project variations, maintaining a change log and collaborating with Sales on cost impactsProvide regular reports to senior management and contribute to portfolio reportingCoordinate with internal teams to ensure design, build, test, and installation meet specificationsAssign and manage work allocation while resolving resource constraintsServe as the primary point of contact for internal and external project-related mattersReview and approve customer proposals, ensuring feasibility in terms of cost, time, and resourcesContribute to process improvements and best practices in project managementEnsure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislationAssess risks, implement safe work methods, and ensure competency in tasksEnsure that project activities do not compromise the safety of staff, contractors, passengers, or the publicReport accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring compliance with safety policiesParticipate in company safety briefings and ensure team engagement in safety practicesCherry Professional are recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client.
