Your new companyHays is working with a large Tier 1 contractor, who are looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join their team in Nottinghamshire. The role is advertised as a 'freelance role'. However, if applicants are interested in a permanent position, this is something that could be an option for the right candidate.

Your new roleAs the Pre-Construction Manager, you will undertake all pre-construction activities, working closely with design teams, providing essential input from tender through to the construction phase, where you will pass the works on to a PM to take lead.Duties will include:

  • Managing and coordinating all Pre-Construction activities
  • Manage the pre-con process from tendering through to handover to the ops team
  • Working closely with the Tier 1 contractors client, inclusive of governance, commercial, estimating, planning, and design management to ensure milestones are identified, monitored, and achieved to successfully complete the Pre-Construction process
  • Attend site visits to view the projects during the pre-construction stage and engage with designers and the relevant supply chain as necessary to inform the detailed design and pricing process

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant construction qualifications, ideally to degree level or above
  • Previous Pre-Construction experience with a Tier 1 contractor - Healthcare experience would be beneficial
  • A proven record of successful project delivery
  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders

What you'll get in return

  • Between £350 - £450 per day
  • 40 hours working week - Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility on working hours subject to the businesses needs
  • 6-month+ contract. Temp to Perm available for candidates who are interested
  • Predominantly, this will be an office/site-based role. WFH days can be allowed around the businesses / clients needs/
