About the Role

The Health & Safety Facilities Executive will be responsible for delivering complete statutory, regulatory, legal, and industry-specific policy, safety, and training compliance within an established group framework in accordance with ISO45001.

Working with the site management and central safety teams, you will assist in developing individual site safety practices and wider network safety strategies.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this Health and Safety Facilities Executive role, you should be conversant with all related company policies and current safety theory whilst maintaining an awareness of new ideas drawn from industry best practices or legislative changes.

You will need to be willing to respond to the operation in terms of some flexibility around working hours. This role will involve regular travel across 7 Parcelhub sites and to off-site meetings.

  • Documentation: Check and maintain site safety records and certifications, leading process improvements aligned with "OperTune" ideology. Issue permits for works as risk requires, including heights, electrical works, and excavations.
  • Monitoring and Improving Processes: Utilise Whistl H&S, ISO Accreditations and local site reporting to identify concerns and develop action plans, conduct self-audits for SHE and facilities, address any issues and support site management and safety teams in addressing non-conformance, and maintain corrective action evidence.
  • Supplier and Contractor Management: Oversee contractor control, waste management, housekeeping, site security and duty of care, optimise site waste management opportunities and conduct security audits. Manage and document supplier entry and exit procedures, ensuring satisfactory work, including reviewing RAMS, competencies, and JRFs before commencement.
