Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of contract management, including negotiations, risk assessments, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Identify risks and potential issues in contracts, providing proactive solutions and advice.
- Manage contract variations, claims, and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all documentation is in line with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in contract management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and industry-standard contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in law, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIPS).
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
