Role Overview:
Reporting to the Directors, the Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Contracts Managers on regional and national projects. The role involves ensuring all contracts, projects, and sites operate effectively, adhering to company policies, procedures, and all necessary safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day management of a team of Contracts Managers.
Ensure all contracts, projects, and sites operate effectively and within established Policies and Procedures.
Ensure all necessary safety documentation (Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, etc.) are produced, issued, and being complied with.
Promote, lead, and work in accordance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
Ensure all company and client requirements are met throughout projects.
Provide support to the Directors.
Capture events impacting on costs and programs to provide timely updates to project status and forecasts.
Implement adequate project controls to improve efficiency and enhance project profitability, including debt management.
Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks).
Ideal Candidate:
Currently employed as a Contracts/Project Manager and looking to take the next step to lead a team.
Experience preferably in the sectors of operation (Hospitality, Retail, Education).
Comfortable dealing directly with clients.
Ability to organize their own work effectively and efficiently.
- Skilled in delegating tasks and monitoring progress and profitability.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proficient in Excel for estimating, cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ability to plan and manage fluctuations in project resources.
Experienced in the relevant trading sectors.
IOSH Managing Safely/SMSTS certification.
Full UK driving license (as national travel is required).
Experience managing teams in a multi-disciplinary contracting environment.
