Head of Learning & Development

£70,000-£80,000

Nottingham - hybrid, 3 days on site, 2 days from home

Are you an established Head of L&D with experience navigating large, matrix organisational structures?

Do you have a proven experience leading a team of L&D Partners delivering on Early Careers, Leadership Development, Professional Development and outsourcing core modules?

I am working with a large client, based in Nottingham, to source a Head of Learning & Development. This role will take hold of designing the strategic L&D agenda for the UK business, but will still roll their sleeves up and get stuck into the delivery of the senior leadership development programmes.

It will lead a small, but perfectly formed, team of L&D Partners who will take ownership of the wider L&D offering, with Early Careers programmes, Leadership development programmes, Professional development and Talent & Succession delivery across a matrix organisation. You will also manage multiple external suppliers to support on various core training modules, technical training and employment law training, ensuring the programmes are tailored and relevant to the businesses' nuances.

To support the wider HR agenda and continued improvement of the business, this role will play a key part in identifying how and where the business can build capability for the future, collaborating with the wider HR team to support the deliver of this.

So, what's the role?

  • Design and deliver the UK Learning & Development Strategy
  • Lead a team of L&D Partners to deliver Early Careers programmes, Leadership development programmes, Professional development and Talent & Succession
  • Manage external training providers to support the delivery of the overall learning strategy
  • Design and deliver learning events to drive collaboration and increase capability of senior talent across the business
  • Plan, consult, develop and deliver senior leadership development programmes for strategic leaders
  • Identify clear ways to recognise how and where the business can build capability for the future
  • Collaborate with the wider HR function to drive consistency and support the wider HR agenda

There are some key non-negotiables I will be looking out for on all CVs, which are…

  • Clear experience of all of the above role deliverables and how and when you implemented each element
  • Experience leading an L&D function in a large, matrix organisation
  • Ideally experience operating in a regulated environment

So, if you've got experience in the above and are looking for your next challenge. Please apply now!
