Legal Administrator
NG1, Nottingham City Centre (No Parking)
22,000 - 23,500 per annum (DOE)
Full-Time, Permanent (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedLegal Administratorto join our client's team in Nottingham City Centre. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a legal environment, with potential for training and growth. While previous legal experience is preferred, it is not essential; candidates with a strong administrative background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Processing Legal Aid applications and dealing with amendments.
- Processing invoices in accordance with office procedures.
- Online diary management, to include hearings, filing dates etc.
- Ensuring hearings/ meetings are flagged for allocation.
- Chasing outstanding documents.
- Drafting basic court documents and standard letters.
- Setting up client appointments.
- Liaising with clients, the courts, and other professionals both in person, by email, and by telephone.
- Opening and closing files.
- Taking minutes of meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a legal environment is preferred, but candidates with solid administrative experience will be considered.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
