Who we need

Key Responsibilities and Challenges:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the salon, ensuring efficient scheduling, stock control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain high standards of service and compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with employers, industry bodies, and external stakeholders to promote the salon and create opportunities for students.
  • Support students' practical learning experiences by fostering a professional salon environment that aligns with industry standards.
  • Continuously improve the salon's performance, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and aligning operations with the college’s broader strategic goals.

What you’ll bring

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in salon management or coordination, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, including scheduling, stock control, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, students, and external partners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
  • Ability to mentor and support students in a professional, hands-on learning environment.
