Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Temporary Credit Control Officer to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control and excellent communication skills. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company's credit control system.
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on outstanding debts.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a credit control role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
