Analytical Data Engineer Job Overview
  • Cleanse and transform data sets to create efficient one-to-many star schema models.
  • Define necessary fact and dimension tables based on requirements to enable user drill-downs.
  • Review and identify data sources, defining optimal data formats for querying.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to align data solutions with client processes, ensuring data maintenance and support.
  • Validate and test data models, incorporating business rules and formulas.
  • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards tailored to user needs.
  • Provide guidance on data structures from APIs to align with star schema models.
  • Work with the data team to deliver, test, and deploy data solutions.
  • Engage with clients during onboarding to gather requirements and resolve data queries.
Analytical Data Engineer Job Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience in data modelling and client-facing roles.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, Azure, and Fabric.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MySQL, Python and R, ETL tools like Azure Data Factory or PowerQuery.
  • Experience with AWS Glue or Sisense.
