My client is looking to recruit both Junior and Experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to their innovative team and contribute to exciting automotive projects.

The Role:

  • Work closely with various departments to ensure project success.
  • Develop initial designs and make adjustments to existing machinery.
  • Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials for projects.
  • Present designs and discuss projects via Teams, video calls, and occasional site visits.

Experience:

  • Experience in fixturing, tooling, or machinery design, preferably in an automotive context.
  • Able to smoothly integrate into our skilled team and contribute your expertise.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred, but training available for other platforms). Knowledge of NX and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside seasoned design engineers to prepare engineering drawings for BIW tooling manufacturing.
  • Participate in both internal and external project meetings.
  • Leverage your knowledge of manufacturing techniques to enhance project outcomes.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) effectively.

Personal Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years for junior roles; 6+ years for experienced candidates in a design office environment.
