My client is looking to recruit both Junior and Experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to their innovative team and contribute to exciting automotive projects.

The Role:

Work closely with various departments to ensure project success.
Develop initial designs and make adjustments to existing machinery.
Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials for projects.
Present designs and discuss projects via Teams, video calls, and occasional site visits.

Experience:

Experience in fixturing, tooling, or machinery design, preferably in an automotive context.
Able to smoothly integrate into our skilled team and contribute your expertise.
Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred, but training available for other platforms). Knowledge of NX and AutoCAD is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

Work alongside seasoned design engineers to prepare engineering drawings for BIW tooling manufacturing.
Participate in both internal and external project meetings.
Leverage your knowledge of manufacturing techniques to enhance project outcomes.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) effectively.

Personal Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 2 years for junior roles; 6+ years for experienced candidates in a design office environment.
