The Supply register are delighted to be working in partnership with The Greenwood Academies Trust and we are currently recruiting for experienced 1-2-1 Teaching Assistants to work across their Primary Schools, on a temporary cover basis supporting with full time, part time and day-to-day requirements.

What will the role consist of?

  • Looking after children's physical, social & emotional well-being
  • Keep records & attend review meetings if and when required
  • You will be required to use your innitiatve to adapt class work to suit student needs
  • Working alongside other members of staff to provide outstanding support to all student
  • Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance.
  • Form positive relationships with children and support them with developing confidence in all areas
  • Working with children with different SEN requirements. This may be in small groups or on a 1-1 basis

Requirements:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or related Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Have experience working with in young people with SEN previously
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have high expectations of all pupils
  • Have high expectations of themselves and work collaboratively with other staff
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding and commitment to Safeguarding
  • You must either have a DBS registered with the udpate service or be willing to process & pay for a new one  - this is essential
