The school is based in the Nottingham area (NG7) The role is full time and will begin as soon as possible

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Working in the school's enhanced resource unit
  • Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
  • Supporting pupils with social and emotional needs
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in class
  • Leading interventions around positive communication and teamwork
  • Managing the challenging behaviours of targeted individuals

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Is able to build relationships with pupils who present with SEMH
  • Has at least one years experience working in a school (Voluntary or placements are acceptable)
  • Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management
  • Can communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues
  • Will work effectively on your own and also as part of a team
  • Can act as a positive role model for the children
