They are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who is eager to make a difference in the lives of SEN students. This full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role in Newark offers the potential to become a permanent position.

In this long-term role, you will provide tailored support to students with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorder, social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will play a crucial role in helping these students grow and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on personalised learning plans to ensure the individual needs of students are met.
  • Support students with personal care and daily routines, always prioritising their dignity and safety.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting independence and social skills in students.
  • Monitor and track student progress to ensure their development is on the right path.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD/ADHD.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting children with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively engage with SEN students and their families.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude to meet the demands of the role.
